FAQs

Q?Are there any age or health restrictions to playing Platoon Laser?
A.

Platoon Laser is suitable for players aged 7 years and upwards. We have no specific health restrictions but you should be aware that players will be tempted to run around the Battle Arena. If you have any specific questions about an individual’s suitability to play, please contact us to discuss.

Q?Is the Laser Beam dangerous? Does it hurt?
A.

The weapons systems used at Platoon Laser use an infra-red beam, similar to a remote control, and low range wireless communications and so are completely harmless.

Q?Can adults and children play Platoon Laser together?
A.

Platoon Laser games are perfect for family parties – all ages can play together. At public events, we try to ensure that suitable age groups compete together.

Q?What does the Platoon Laser experience involve?
A.

Upon arrival, your group will be greeted by our friendly team and all players will need to sign in before being issued with their kit – camouflage uniform, sensors and weapons. You will play 3 games per hour with a short break between each game to brief and prepare for the next game.

Q?How many people can play at once?
A.

For Exclusive Parties, we have formats for groups of up to 10 players, up to 20 players or up to 40 players. For Open Games against other members of the public, you may book as many or as few spaces as you require. The maximum players per game is 20.

Q?What happens if I arrive late?
A.

If you have booked an Exclusive Party and you arrive late, your playing time may be reduced. If players arrive after a game has started they will not be able to join in.  All session start times are set so if you arrive late then you may not be able to participate. No refund or transfer would be available under these circumstances.

Q?What should I wear to play?
A.

You should wear loose comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear such as boots or trainers. The activity is outdoors so wrap up warm enough and bring a waterproof jacket.

Q?Is there an area for spectators?
A.

Yes – we have a covered area with good views of the Game Zone. Our venue also has great facilities for food and refreshments.

Q?Do we still play if it rains?
A.

Yes – our weapons are designed to operate in all weathers and so the game will go ahead. We recommend bringing a waterproof jacket and change of clothes if rain is forecast and if you plan on having lots of fun!

Q?What happens if someone that I’ve paid for can’t make it?
A.

All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferrable, so if someone cannot attend we recommend finding another person to take their place. No credit or refund is available for spaces booked if players do not then attend.
